The Plattsburgh State Cardinals draw large crowds and are always in the hunt for the SUNYAC championship. The arena had a recent renovation adding chairback seating. Stafford Arena also hosted a handful of games for the short-lived Plattsburgh Pioneers QMJHL franchise
